Beau came wandering into Tokyo yesterday still recovering from his travels in Hawaii. He mentioned yesterday that he was interested in checking out the Tsukiji market today. Since I'm almost always up for a trip to the market I met up with him at Roppongi at 0700 and we took the train over to Tsukiji. What followed was a fairly typical walk through the market, would be nice to go there are couple more times before they move the place. Breakfast was great.
Full set here.

Satoshi was interviewed the other day for Tech Honey's "Company Visit" series, where she visits different companies and grills HOT, young engineers to see if they're all that they think that they are about.
Needless to say Satoshi spent the whole time explaining how Six Apart is great. With Vox, well, Vox just explained itself.
This is a couple days late, but after work on Thursday, I headed off to Borders Books, kiddie corner from AT+T Field. Inspired by Satoshi's presentation a couple of weeks ago aboubt VIM, I pick up the VI Pocket Reference book. On the way back I walk under the Seismic Retrofitting of the freeway, ah, so this is the Seismic Retrofitting. Friday morning was breakfast at the office, I get a ChashuBao and a Krispy Kreme Donut. At the all company meeting on Friday the VOX JP team introduces themselves and then I show off VOX Japan. Which looks just like VOX US but is in Japanese. . .astounding.
We went out to dinner at Myconos at Polk Street, a few storefronts down from Shalimar. The Greek food we had there was exquisite and of of course, it was more than enough food. Great first week at the SF office.
I was trying to forget about the game, so I really didn't want to vox this. . .but since it happened and I can't avoid what already happened, I'll just write about everything except what happened.
Left the office around 1930 and walked to the "Donkey" in Roppongi with Garth. Garth has some Illinois cowboy in him and he was dying to show me. . .and here it is. The Rodeo Boy, now for ONLY 29.9k JPY (about 280 USD). I'm seriously starting to consider getting one for the new SAKK office.
We then met up at Tatsuhiko's place to watch the game. There was some genuine joy in the early going. . .I'll skip the rest, hopefully the pictures will fill in the gaps.
Japan will be back. . .and stronger.
