Went to the Chicken Rice store in Ebisu for dinner, but passed on the Chicken Rice since I always get it.

時々どうしても餃子が食べたい時がある、時々って言っても2週間に1回ぐらい。去年の秋は元エバジェリストとMrs.と一緒に宇都宮に行くぐらい餃子は好きだ（もっと好きな人はたぶんいるんだろうから）。今日はそういう餃子な日、「恵比寿 餃子」で検索してファーストヒット行く決意を固めた直後にげんからチャットがくる。
「五反田でブロガーとカレー食べる？」
「いや、今日は餃子の日」
Andrewに電話をかけて、うのさんにチャットを送りすぐにグループができあがる。雨の中恵比寿駅でAndrewと合流してお店の前でげんと合流して30分待つ。うのさんと元エバンジェリストも現れて少し話したら入店。
Met Andrew at the station and Gen was just pulling up when we got to the store. The place was packed and so we waited outside for about thirty minutes with Gen willing people to leave their seat. The Former Evangelist came with Atsushi and we shuffled into the joint after waiting a few more minutes. The gyoza were a bit different from the usual fare found in Japan. There was shrimp in it, and the pork (Iberian Pork no less)/veggie ratio leaned toward pork more than what I usually eat. The bottom of the gyoza was crisp, but the wrapping itself was pretty thick and there was not much juice in the gyoza. Still, the gyoza was fantastic. The other dishes were pretty decent also, so well worth going out on a rainy early summer evening.
実際の餃子は普段食べるもの（宇都宮で食べたのとか）よりは肉の率高く、さらに海老も中に入っている。豚はイベリコ豚をつかてるらしい。肉汁はそんなに無く、下はぱりぱりだけど、皮は厚い。で、味はおいしい。餃子以外の料理もおいしい、マンゴープリンは最高。

結局クリスマスはクリスマスと関係無いことだけだけど色々あったのかな。締めはMSバスケの今年の最後のRunと忘年会。先週、久しぶりに行ったときはかなり違う雰囲気だったけど、昨日のバスケはいつものバスケに戻っていた。走る、走る、走る、2本目に足首を挫いて、3本目は転んで腿が痛かったけど、バスケはやはり非常に楽しい。。。当然か。で、バスケの後はサッポロの向かいのカフェ・マングローブで、美味しかった。
来年もバスケよろしく、今年より出来たら嬉しいけど。。。無いなー。とりあえず、北海道スキー旅行かな。ジンギスカンに、ラーメンに、海の幸に、温泉に、後なんだっけ？
End of the year part for MS Basketball. The run last week was pretty hard core for all the wrong reasons, it was the first timet that I had been in a few months and I was almost regretting it, thankfully the run yesterday was a lot more fun. There was a lot of running as usual, and I twisted my ankle and went tumbling another time pretty hard, but basketball is where it is at. Afterwards was the year end party at Cafe Mangrove in Ebisu. Good times and good food, hopefully I can play more ball in 2007, though I doubt it. For now. .. skiing, are we going to Hokkaido?
The first video I saw playing in Vox was Ebi-chan strutting for the new Ebi (shrimp) filet-o sandwich for McDonald's. I only got to Mickey-D's for breakfast (and very rarely) or the wife (with a cup of coffee), so the ad, though very convincing did not do it for me. I'm loving it!
やはり、Voxで初めて見た動画だった、えびちゃん、の海老フィレオですね。食べた事無いし、これが理由でマックに通う事も無いけど、インパクトが大きかったCMはこれかね。
Went to Kimkatsu in Ebisu for some of their special brand of Tonkatsu. At Kimkatsu, the slice the pork thinly and layer it before they batter, bread and fry it. Really tasty stuff, and I'm sure it was worth the one hour wait.
昨晩恵比寿のキムカツでトンカツを食べに行った。キムカツのトンカツは豚肉を薄く切って重ねたものをあげる。すごい美味しかったから、1時間まったかいがあったかも。
