Green Tea Flavored Coke has been on sale now for a couple of days now. Picked up a bottle at the 7-Eleven today. The thing manages to taste somewhat like Coke and still have a pseudo green tea-ish after flavor.

カテキン入りの緑茶っぽいコーラが数日前に発売されましたが、今朝コンビニで購入しました。コーラっぽいような、後味に緑茶っぽいような味ですが、今ひとつぱっとしないのは確かです。嫌いではないです、コーラ好きでしたら是非試して下さい。

Went to the early show for T4 Salvation at Roppongi Hills on Sunday.  It was everything I expected; the movie just under two hours of good, fun, mindless mayhem looking for an excuse to drop the two lines,"Come with me if you want to live," and "I'll be back."

This is no joke, Coca Cola Japan is going to be releasing Green Tea Coke on June 8th .  This is THE New Coke.

From GlobalTalk 21, I really enjoyed this NYT piece about P&G trying to keep Pringles way from being classified as potato chips so as to avoid higher taxes:

The Supreme Court of Judicature had little patience with Procter & Gamble's lawyerly attempts to break out of the potato chip category. The company argued that to be "made of potato" Pringles would have to be all potato, or nearly so. If so, Lord Justice Jacob noted, "a marmalade made using both oranges and grapefruit would be made of neither -- a nonsense conclusion."

He was even more dismissive of Procter & Gamble's argument that to be taxable a product must contain enough potato to have the quality of "potatoness." This "Aristotelian question" of whether a product has the "essence of potato," he insisted, simply cannot be answered.

Finally:

Conservatives like to insist that their judges are strict constructionists, giving the Constitution and statutes their precise meaning and no more, while judges like Ms. Sotomayor are activists. But there is no magic right way to interpret terms like "free speech" or "due process" -- or potato chip. Nor is either ideological camp wholly strict or wholly activist. Liberal judges tend to be expansive about things like equal protection, while conservatives read more into ones like "the right to bear arms."

In the end, as Lord Justice Jacob noted, a judge can only look at the relevant factors and draw an overall impression. His common-sense approach was a rebuke not only to Procter & Gamble, but to everyone out there who insists that the only way to read laws correctly is to read them strictly.

I would however like to submit that in my recent gyoza travels I did have the occasion once to meet a plate of gyoza that was so beyond what I had come to expect of gyoza yet was so wonderfully gyoza at the same time, that the gyoza was classified as being,"Beyond Gyoza, but Gyoza."

My favorite Bagel store in Tokyo (original intro from Gen)Maruichi Bagel has great bagels but was a bit far away from me with their store in Yoyogi Uehara. The store was also kind of small, so there were always issues with bagels running out.

Well, they moved way closer to me in Shirokane Takanawa and into a larger space no less. Dropped by on Saturday to get some of their scrumptious bagels. Highly recommended.
そうしたら、なんと白金高輪に引っ越してきた、自転車で5分もかからない、しかも大きいスペースに。土曜日に行って美味しいベーグルを補充。美味しいぞ！

Yu-Ching's friend droppped off some tasty Macarons. Plenty tasty and colorful and. . .tasty.
毓青の友達が美味しいマカロンを会社におみやげとして持ってきた。いやー美味しいぞ、色も綺麗だし。ありがとう毓青の友達。

Went out for a meating (meat eating) with Duke and Shunsuke.

先日Dukeと駿介と骨董通りの焼き肉屋さんで ミーティング。

Amongst the wonderful meat, Shunsuke mentioned a couple items still in beta testing at Burgermania.
すばらしい肉とともに会話も色々あり、その中で現在ベータ中のバーガーマニアのメニューに関して紹介が。

1. The Patty Melt might be getting added to the menu, but I had to try it with mustard. パティーメルトは正式にメニューに追加される可能性があると、だがマスタードも塗ったのも試すべきだと。
2. Gorgonzola might be added as a cheese choice.チーズの種類にゴルゴンゾーラが追加。

Armed with the information, I went to Burgermania and requested a Gorgonzola Patty Melt. Absolutely wonderful. If you have a chance to drop by just say,"I've heard you've got an amazing Patty Melt," when you order.

Went to go see my beloved FC Tokyo take on the defending J-League champion Kashima Antlers at the FC Tokyo home stadium with my former colleague and current Antlers fan Tats. While I claim to be a FC Tokyo fan, I haven't been to one of their games in about nine years and I have never been to their home stadium. The stadium was beautiful, the home fans wonderfully cheerful, the Kashima fans wonderfully obnoxious and the Antlers showed me why they were leading the league right now. FC東京も１０周年、FC東京の大ファンの僕が最後に試合に行ったのも９年ぐらい。日曜日にたつさん(アントラーズファン)とFC東京対鹿島アントラーズの試合を味の素スタジアムで観戦。思った以上に素晴らしいスタジアムであり、FC東京のファンも素晴らしく元気よくとにかく優しい応援をしていた、鹿島のファンも素晴らしいぐらいに失礼な応援をしていた（完全に主観的ですが）、そして鹿島の選手はさすが鹿島アントラーズってサッカーを披露。東京１対２鹿島

I haven't blogged about it, but I'm in Milan right now on a business trip. Because of my fear of flying (not related to my mild acrophobia), I've been trying to avoid this trip overseas, I was successful for four months. Now that I'm here (Photos here) I've been determined to enjoy myself and thanks to the country and the kind folks at the Yoox offices here it has been great.

The food of course is amazing, I thought the Italian food in Tokyo was good, but the TagliatelliとTortellini I had in Bologna was a delicious and hard slap that introduced me to a new reality (Thanks Fabio and Gab). The lamb ragu I had for dinner made me realize that I might have to come back again (Thanks Michela and Max). I'll also have to do a lot of jogging back in Tokyo

Sunday evening was spent watching AC Milan vs. Lecce at San Siro (one of the temples of soccer). My colleague Claudio was kind enough to take me. Claudio is one the kindest people I've met always smiling and helpful, but I thought he was going to explode with anger at the match, thankfully AC Milan scored two goals in the 90th minute. We even got interviewed for Radio Italia. . .Forza Milan!

Three more nights, already not looking forward to the flight.

ブログにはまだ書いていなかったが、先週の月曜日から出張でイタリア（ミラノとボローニャ）にきている。　飛行機が嫌いなこともあり、入社以来拒否していた出張も、ついに4ヶ月目で飛ぶことに。飛行機に乗ってまた死ぬ覚悟もしたんだからこちらでは仕事以外も思いっきり楽しむのが当然（画像はここ）。イタリアという国、そしてこっちのオフィスの同僚にも助けられ楽しんでいます。

食べ物は当然美味しい、東京のイタリアンも美味しいと思っていたが、ボローニャで食べたタグリアテーリとトルテリーニは別次元のおいしさ。 夜に食べた 羊のラグーでもう一回イタリアに来るのを確信した。さらに東京に帰ってからのジョギングも確定したが

日曜日はサッカーの神殿の一つサン・シーロでミラノとレッチェの試合を観戦。 同僚のミラニスタのクラウディオの案内で向かった。会社では非常に優しい笑顔で周囲を癒すクラウディオだが、試合観戦中はいつ爆発するかわからないぐらい切れていた。ロスタイムでミラノが2点決めたので試合の帰りは幸せなオーラに包まれてスキップ。ついでに現地のサポーターテレビにも出演。

後、3日。。。飛行機に乗るのがすでにブルー
